POCA Fest Milwaukee
May 17, 2019 to May 19, 2019
Announcing POCAfest 12-Milwaukee!
Join us for the People’s Co-op of Community Acupuncture Spring 2019 conference! May 17-19. This spring’s POCAfest is for punks, receptors, patient/community members, POCA supporters, students, friends and family.
Theme - Practical Interventions
At this POCAfest we are gonna look at the basics: what makes a CA clinic work and not just work-sing. At this POCAfest we are gonna do this in two ways:
1) Lisa Rohleder is making the keynote speech on The Hierarchy of Needs that all CA clinics need to take care of in order to be a sustainable small business. Many of the Breakouts relate to this hierarchy (and you can read about it in Prick, Prod, and Provoke https://www.pocacoop.com/prick-prod-provoke/)
2) We will also be hosting our first auricular training for non punks led by Ellen Vincent, Caroline Picker, Susan Williams, and Olivia Crane.
Friday, May 17 - Sunday, May 19 2019
Friday May 17 arrive as early as 3pm to catch Friday afternoon programming.
We’ll say our goodbyes Sunday May 19, 2019 and depart the camp by 2pm.
*ONE DAY-SATURDAY or SUNDAY ONLY option: 9 to 6:00pm. Lunch included.
We will be staying at the Perlman Retreat Center, which is southwest of Milwaukee. Its address is W 1802 County Road J Mukwonago, WI 53149
