I would love to go to Florida, but that is a bit to far for me to drive.
I am hoping there will be a Pocafest on the West side of the USA for 2017. Is that a possibility?

    Thank you

Hi Sheila- There is a POCA Fest planned for the last weekend in August just outside of Salt Lake City.

Expect to see info about that in late Spring/early Summer.

This is my first time going to POCA Fest. If we are going alone,  you will put us with another POCA member?

You don’t have to be a POCA member to register for POCA Fest- although many POCA peeps do attend. If you know someone from the forums here and want to room with them just send an email to the address listed in registration.

The accommodations are shared hotel rooms- 2 beds and thereby 2 people per room. If anyone wants more than 2 people in their room- i.e. families, or just a group of folks that want to room together and share beds/use floor space/ what not, we can accommodate that as well. 4 people max per room.

Our programming for the weekend includes 12 breakout sessions with most of those having 2-3 choices. Aside from techniques classes: pediatrics, 20 point protocols, scalp, Tung’s points, and herbs in a CA setting, there will be biz system and front desk systems, and WOM marketing strategies discussed. Several panel discussions are planned: employer/employee roles and relationships, legislative action, and community outreach.

We will have an amazing keynote (on Friday night) , ‘zine making,a ” how to be a better by-stander” training, and breakout sessions on Liberation Acupuncture, Trauma Informed Care, the history of acupuncture in America, and the economics of healthcare.

There are breakouts for everyone and we’d love to see many of you there, even if only for a day.
Consider joining us for the day on Saturday and staying for the beach walk or the campfire

Right now we’re working out how to do a tour of the local CA clinic, St. Pete, CA, we’ll have time to hangout on the beach in front of the hotel where lodging and food are happening, along with the breakouts. And of course there will be community, camaraderie, and fun.

    Hope to see you there!

I have a whole clinic who wants to come down to check out the fest and mingle and learn. I’m the only acupuncturist but we have a massage therapist, two personal trainers and two administration folks who want to lean more.  We have a place to stay in Tampa already.  I wanted to know if there was some kind of group rate minus the lodging, so that others in my office could participate. Thanks.
