Thanks for your interest in volunteering for POCA!  A co-op is as strong as its members.

To volunteer, a person must be a current member of POCA and have paid their annual dues.  A volunteer must also complete and submit an Individual Membership Application and a Volunteer Agreement to the POCA office.  Please see attached.

These guidelines pertain to volunteering for one of POCA Departmental Circles:
Financial, Clinic Success, Website, Events and Regional Nodes, or Membership.

POCA’s Circle HR will review the application and make a placement in a circle department when possible.  Consideration will be given first to the volunteer’s areas of indicated interest.  If no opportunities are available in those area(s) of interest, the applicant will be contacted to determine if alternate placement is wanted.  If no placement is available at the time of application, the POCA office will keep the application on file for future volunteer openings.  The volunteer application pool will be reviewed periodically based on the needs of circles and specific projects.

There will be a standard 90-day trial period for each individual volunteer.

Please fill out the documents below and return them to the POCA Office:  3526 NE 57th Ave.  Portland, OR 97213

Thank you!

Thanks, Dave Schiman of Roxborough Community Acupuncture in Philadelphia for this great example of how to recruit POCA Volunteers to help in your local clinic!

Update on membership applications and volunteer waivers:

You no longer need to print out and send in membership applications OR volunteer waivers if you register/join POCA online.
We really prefer everyone to join via the website when possible.

If you wish to volunteer for POCA during the registration process you will be given the chance to link to an online volunteer agreement to be electronically signed.

Super easy- and saves trees- (and time for the folks in the POCA office.)
