[Edit: We hired a punk! But I will leave this up as a reference. Admin, you can take this down if you think that is better….]

Alameda Community Acupuncture is looking for a community acupuncturist to join our wonderful team!

Shifts that will be open coming 2nd week of January:
2 weekdays + 1 weekend shift
Weekend availability a must but otherwise, exact schedule is negotiable to a certain extent. Ideally, the new acupuncturist can work all 3 shifts. If you are motivated and are a good fit, this can also evolve into a salaried full-time position.
However, if you can work only 2 shifts…or if your availability does not exactly match our vacant shifts, or if you cannot start until February or March, you are still welcome to apply for the position. There is certain amount of flexibility for the right applicant.
What we are looking for in a community acupuncturist at ACA:
-Commitment to making affordable acupuncture more widely accessible.
-Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multitask.
-Experience in distal points protocols.
-Enjoy working with a diverse patient base, and treating a variety of health conditions.
-Great team player (We are currently a team of 4 acupuncturists and a part-time front-desk receptionist)
-At least 1 year commitment
-Empathy and communication skills
-Reliability and groundedness
-Willingness and ability to learn and adapt (distal points, herbs, softwares)
-Attention to detail, tidiness
-Tech literate
If you are a new graduate/ or an acupuncturist without community acupuncture or distal points treatments experience, we are willing to train you if you have a genuine desire to be a long-term community acupuncturist.

This is a W-2 employee position. Hourly base rate $22-$25 (Commensurates with experience) +$11 Commission when you see over 3 patients an hour for your shift. Avg pay for punks usually range from $35/hr-$41/hr once you are up to speed (depending on performance)

Paid time-off, acupuncture expenses reimbursement and other benefits.

If you are interested in joining our team, please send your cover letter, schedule availability, and resume to Donna Chang .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
